        During mentoring class on Mondays, students will receive Digital Citizenship lessons created by Common Sense Education (www.commonsense.org). According to Common Sense Education, these digital lessons citizenship lessons will help create a positive school culture that supports safe and responsible technology use.  This week students have received the lesson, “Digital Life 101.” Students are introduced to the 24/7, social nature of digital media and technologies, and gain basic vocabulary and knowledge for discussing the media landscape. Please see the Tip Sheet for families to continue the “digital life” discussion at home.

        Compass Behavioral Health will continue to provide school based services to our students! This will be of no charge to USD 457, or the family of the child/children participating! Individual counseling services will be provided as well as group counseling that will cover various topics including stress management, bullying, sexual harassment, stealing, and developing healthy friendships.  If your child is interesting in receiving these services, please see a counselor to sign up.         Mark your calendars, Kenneth Henderson will be hosting a Buffalo Wild Wings day/night on Monday, October 2nd! There will be more information to come, so be on the lookout!
